About Us

The Bay Area Transportation Working Group (BATWG) is a nonprofit organization formed in 2012 to keep up with and respond to ongoing Bay Area transportation issues and events. Our primary objective is to find ways of easing regional traffic congestion by improving the reliability and general appeal of the Region’s passenger rail and bus systems. Bringing about the necessary changes in travel mode will require the development of an efficient and well-integrated regional network of trains and buses. BATWG is dedicated to working with like-minded groups to bring about these needed changes.

We are always looking for dedicated individuals who are willing to pitch in and help us keep track of fast-moving regional transportation events and respond appropriately to current public policies and actions. While virtually all of our efforts to date have been through the interest, energy and dedication of our volunteers, we do have some need for financial assistance to cover graphics, printing, publicity and other miscellaneous charges.  If you are interested in helping BATWG achieve its objectives please join us and participate.  Our membership fee is a modest $20 a year; donations in any amount are gratefully accepted.
